Seems a bit complicated for such a simple procedure. You should be advised ahead of time that there is no magic recipe to read VRM temps.

What I mean by that is If GPU-Z doesn't show it...odds are you're not going to find it anywhere.

Good luck!

My Asus GTX 970 Strix has but my MSIs don't. If GPUZ and HWinfo don't pick it up I assume it is because your GPU don't have a sensor.

No you can't, you need to access the GPU directly, using a signed kernel mode driver

i thought it need access direct to sensors type CHL**** using any type of ADL or l2C....
I noticed, if i booted from live CD graphic card defined as standard video and GPU-Z can not recieve any information about card, but voltage and temperature VRM displayed very well, without any drivers.
thanks for your time and sorry for my English :)

What I meant by "magic recipe" was if the sensor(s) are not present, then you can't "magically" make them appear. I knew in some cases the sensors are there. Which is why I said try GPU-Z. I had no idea until now the "wizardry"(pun fully intended :p) involved in detecting them.
