The 2 cards I am looking at are
Sapphire HD4850 1gb GDDR3 256-bit
Sapphire HD5750 1gb GDDR5 128-bit
Both cards are sold locally and are within my price range.
Looking at some benchmarks the 5750 doesn't seem to fall below 4850 in many tests, its either the same or 20fps higher on lower settings.
The HD5750 1gb GDDR5 128-bit looks promising on benchmarks. It takes less power too. But its also a mainstream card, and is 128-bit.
The HD4850 is 256-bit but only GDDR3.
What other advantages do each cards have over each other?
I was told that difference between GDDR3 and GDDR5 very small. I was also told that there is a considerable difference. I am not sure what to believe. Maybe someone can help me understand?
Thanks
