Display(s) SAMSUNG 19" SyncMaster 920N
Case GigaByte 3Dmars
Audio Device(s) Realtek Build-in Type
Power Supply HEC Cougar 700w
UPDATE:

*i've tried the card on another PC with almost same specs except he had PSU 650w Zephyar and it was running smoothly using (Fur Mark) to stress the card and i run the test for 100~300secs and it was all good, except when we went to 1600 x 1200 with 16x MSAA and kept the test for 528secs it went black out on Temp 85c but for overall results that should be fine!! 500secs is so much too.
*recently i've updated my mother board bios and still the same problem.
*also i've bought new PSU Cougar 700w just TODAY!! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817339027

im really lost and i need your help guys, evga support is asking me to ship it back to U.S and that will cost me alot.. i'd rather buy new one instead so its like my card is a junk now!
Please Help!

Thanks in Advance.

Voltages seem fine assuming its a 55nm card (GPU-Z can tell you)

Could you please explain the problem you are having

EDIT:

Please dont double post, use the edit button, no one will miss your edit :)

In which case, YES THE BIOS IS THE PROBLEM

It seems EVGA have put a 55nm BIOS on a 65nm board :shadedshu

Is that BIOS dump the one you pulled from GPU-Z?

And do you have any of what EVGA have said to you, that you can show us?

Right I assume from reading that thread, you have got your new Antec 650w, and its still doing it?

I am 99.9% sure it is NOT BIOS related.

Do you know what temperatures your card was getting to under load?

If under 85*C it probably not that, so go and download EVGA Precision, load it up and set the sliders all the way to the LEFT, hit apply, then try running somethng again

If you need to know where to download it, you can get it form here:

not i didnt get antec yet, when i was about to go buy it i got Supprt answer which made me even more confused .

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting the EVGA Customer Service Team.
My name is Daniel Branton and I will be answering your question today.

Answer:

Disturbed, Honestly it sounds like there might be an issue with the card itself. That PSU looks like it meets specs however for something like this I would like you to call us directly at 888.881.EVGA after 8am PST so we can further assist you with this issue

Right thanks for that.

I can fix the BIOS for you if you want, but technically it voids your warranty. That said I highly doubt they will notice as I am actually fixing the bios.

Before I go ahead, I need to know that, that dump is definetly from that card.

Also, if I do it, I take no responsibility for your actions, whether you choose to flash the BIOS or not, if it breaks, it aint my problem. (I obviously wont deliberatly sabotage it)

i knew it would be BIOS problem, and i been trying to flash it but i kept getting that error "unable to map device address space"
i downloaded modified one from here with higher specs, actually yes i would like you to help me fixing it, and as you see im from Egypt so warranty will cost me more than card price.
and yes this is what i just got from GPUz.
can you fix it to FTW please!
i take all the responsibility and i will do what you will tell me exactly i just hope you have a solution for that error i mentioned.
thanks

edit: could you please change Fan Speed!

First of all I just want to get the card working, the problem is from what I can see it has a 55nm BIOS on a 65nm card.

I'm not changing any clock speeds or fan speeds yet. I'll help you with that after if we first get it working as it should, now give me a min and I'll write up a nice little guide for you :)

Here is my original bios from my Evga GTX260 Core 216.It is the 65nm version.

EDIT: I just seen you said you have the SC version which has slightly higher clocks, but everything else should be the same.

So many different BIOSes, right, dont want to insult your intelligence oily, but you are 100% that BIOS is from an EVGA Core 216 65nm card that looks like the bottom card in the pic above.

Yes? :toast:

Yes it is, only thing it is not the SC version which has higher clocks.

EDIT:Give me a sec and I will post a screen of GPU-Z (it is on a networked PC)

Right, that second one is a 65nm card, so EVGA have definetly made a balls up at the factory, okay here goes:

1, I have created a Bootable ISO containing all the files you need here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=744BF1E0
Download it and burn it to a blank cd, any burning program should be more than capable of this, by just opening it, if not let me know.

2, With the disc in the drive, reboot your computer and enter your bios. Set the CD drive as the first boot device, or enable F12 boot selection for example, if its easier. Save and restart.

3, Once your computer boots up, you should now see the BIOS boot from the CD drive, and be greeted by a DOS prompt.

4, To ensure things are going smoothly, type R:, and press enter, then dir, then press enter. You should see all the files required for flashing, ensure you have nvflash.exe and 65sc.rom.

5, Now comes the fun bit, type:
nvflash -5 -6 65sc.rom and press enter
If this fails try the following:
nvflash -4 -5 -6 65sc.rom and press enter
Obviously agree to any "are you sure?" prompts, etc.

6, It should say flash successful, or complete, if so, remove the CD, and POWER DOWN, your PC and unplug for 30 secs from the mains, then plug back in and power up, go into the bios and set your boot settings back to normal, save and quit.

7, You should see your PC boot, once you get into windows, you may find you are at 800x600 rez, this is normal, give it a minute and you will see that it is reinstalling the display driver, restart your computer when its finished and get your options back to normal! Then you can check with GPU-z to see if it has been successful.

I would print this off so you know what to do, unless you have a second PC

Good luck and let me know if you get any problems. Worst case scenario, we have your original bios backed up!

*You do the above at your own risk, neither me or anyone else on TPU is responsible for anything that may happen as a result of your actions following on from reading this*

If you are using FurMark to stress the card, then be aware that alot of people have problems when using this app, even at stock clocks.

What is it like when playing a game ?? Do you have any artifacts or a black screen in game??

EDIT:You can use Evga Precision to alter clocks/fan speed.

I think it is compatibility issue between GTX260 and P35, I had XFX GTX260 which was doing same problem with furmark
