    Hi:

I'm using the PC on the signature. It's new, a month old or so. Every game i tried ran faster than my previous PC (P4 2.4 GHz, ATI 9550). But when i tried 3DMark2006, and COD4:MW, i noticed it's running slower than it should: Barely above 6000 points on 3dMark, and the FPS on COD4 drop to 18-20.

With this machine, i should be getting over 9000 points, and around 100 FPS in COD4... so something is capping my performance.

I found a post in this forum that gave me a clue: The HyperTransport Link speed:

However, when i try to put a value differrent from 200 MHz in the BIOS, the PC boots Windows alright, but around a minute later, it freezes. I even tried the AUTO setting, no luck, just 200 MHz works.

My mobo is a GF8200A, with the factory firmware. The AMI Winflash doesn't recognize the BIOS, so I haven't upgraded it yet. The CPU temp is around 30ºC, and the GPU 40ºC when idle, so i think no thermical problems are involved. My PSU isn't generic, so i don't think it's a shortage of power.

What could be the problem? I really have no idea what's the problem. Could anyone give me a hand? Thanks in advance!

    Best regards,
    Fenhasan

Yea score is right, if u oc that 6000+ good, the score will go up a ton, because bottlenecking will be gone.

Overclock your CPU like he said. Score will jump.
    Try running 180.22.

BTW, my 3DMark06 CPU Score is 2678. From what I read this is fine. It's the SM2.0 and 3.0 that are really low...
