Hi,
I'm a newbie, trying to get a laptop (hp elitebook - i7 L640) to not overheat. Both RealTemp and CPU-Z only show 2 cores, while windows resource monitor shows 4 working. I've included a screenshot showing this. I've flashed the bios, updated everything I can and tried changing # of cores in msconfig advanced options. I just want to make sure that my chip is working properly - I'm not really concerned about getting RealTemp to show me individual temperatures... Any thoughts? Thank you very much.
