Hey Guys i posted not so long ago a purpose built PC for bf4, i read the comments and people were saying i should get a SSD and possibly update my GPU So ive narrowed it down to three choices,

The
1) EVGA 770 Superclocked
2) EVGA 770 4GB GDDR5 Classified with ACX Cooler Graphics Card
3) MSI Nvidia GTX 770 Gaming 4GB Tf Fan PCI-E Graphics Card

All comments are appreciated :)

Are you sure all comments? I think your gfx choice is vendor limited. Given you have stated purpose built for BF4 and with DICE publicly stating they will have coding for Mantle, the best card in your price range (in terms of what you have listed) is a R9 280X (or HD 7970 Ghz.)

A 4GB memory on a single 770 will do nothing at high resolutions (1600p+) as the card will be too weak. At 1440p resolution in BF4 beta @ ultra settings, my Titan saw 2.7GB max usage. I would think 3GB (280X or HD7970) would be well enough.

But if you insist on Nvidia, buy the cheapest 780 you can find in one month when the 780Ti comes out.

Well i dont want to play on ultra really, i currently have a shop bought PC and im playing dayz on less than 10 frames so anything is an upgrade for me really, I want to play on high at 1080p. and aslong as im getting more than 60+ frames ill be happy..

With your suggestions of the AMD Cards, i dont really want AMD just because i feel there out of date really quickly :/

1) EVGA 770 Superclocked: if you don't plan to get a second card in the future.

2) EVGA 770 4GB GDDR5 Classified with ACX Cooler Graphics Card: if your planning on getting a second card in the future, since SLI does not use the frame buffer of both cards (4+4= 4 :p)

3) MSI Nvidia GTX 770 Gaming 4GB Tf Fan PCI-E Graphics Card: personally this one the cooler is better then the ACX cooler from EVGA. Same scenario as 2.

I would hope in the event of going with #1 and you buy a second (in the future) that the resolution of your monitor doesn't exceed 1080p. If you look up certain previews of 4k gaming you'll find the 2GB frame buffer is insufficient.

I agree with the comment about getting the cheapest 780 you can next month when the 780ti releases. I personally like nVidia cards myself and EVGA is my brand of choice, but other makers are decent too as long as you stay with one of the AAA companies.

Are you being serious.

Back on topic. A 770 is not worth the extra $100 over a 280X or 7970 GHz

The 7970 release in December 22, 2011 and is still up there in the top cards to get and EVEN is being rebranded to make another pass at the market so I do not see were they "Go out of date" Quickly

Every GPU goes out of date within 6 months of a competitor bringing out something to counter it.
Whatever your budget is, get the best card that comes within that budget. Simple as that...

Get the AMD 280X and use the extra 100 dollars from not spending on the 770 on a 128GB SSD, problem solved.

Yeah get an r9 280x toxic from sapphire it will blow any of the cards you suggested away or an Asus dcuii. But avoid gigabyte and MSI both have cooler issues.

another vote for the 280x/7970ghz over the GTX770. My OC'ed 7970 is still handling the new games of today, although it is starting to struggle. But I play at 1600p with at least high settings, not 1080 or 1200p.

I recommend finding a cheap gtx780 as others have mentioned or a r9 290. The reviews for the 290 should be out by the end of the month.

Last card I had was a 5870, and it's running strong in the computer in the living room. Might I add with an old Kentsfield Q6600.
The card i bought with that CPU was a 2900 Pro (still run's) that card is HELLA old, and can still play casual games. Need i say more.
