I reached the level 4, having killed the dragon and i am currently at "taking over whiterun", i reached a cave and kill a few people then i reached the end of cave, there is a bit of snowish and hilly area, where a person with a very dangerous weapon sits, as soon as i reach near him or even visible to him.. he starts hitting... i tried him killing with arrows (hit about 20-35 of them) didn't work, i tried killing him with hammer with 24 damage (hitted 4-5 times) didn't work and one hit of his sword kills me, his arrows are too very effective.. i have also attached a screenshot of that place if it helps.
I have had about 30-40 failed attempts in this place and have no clue how to get over it.:banghead:
Btw, I am playing in Master Difficulty.

...turn the difficulty down. Or leave that area and come back later.

I second that. If you have tried over 30 times, I would just say turn down the difficulty. No point in getting stressed if you simply can't do something in game. Set reasonable goals :)

I agree with Ford and happita to turn the difficulty down. But if you absolutely do not want to, then do some work on your smithing, make better armor and weapons. Then return. You can also work on destruction magic too before returning, if you're a mage..

This is probably going to be your best bet here. Start working on your mage skills if you can.

Turn the difficulty down or come back later when you have a higher level better weapons armor etc.

try adding poison to the arrows and if you have a bow with the paralyze effect, use it. Then get close and hit him with a more powerful sword/mase. I found that playing on master helps level up certain skills faster because your "forced" to use the skill more regularly

My 2c, hope it helps (^^,)

guys, thanks u for all the advice, although hardly read any of them... i did it finally without changing difficulty, all i did that helped me was sneaking and attacking arrow (used about 40-60) of them, that lowered his health significantly and then killed him with a hammer... as the bandit takes some time to change his weapon.. i just had to attack him only once as most of the damage was done earlier.. i ran very quickly into him... took me more than an hour this time only 7-8 attempts at most.

skyrim in master difficulty is pretty fun, to make it better I suggest the mods at skrim nexus, mainly the one the makes it so you HAVE to eat to live.

Any clue on where the area is, ie where are you in Skyrim?

Also, are you referring to a fire atronach, the one engulfed in flames?

Fire Atronach cast pretty slow and you can usually dodge their fireballs and fire in between.
Ice wraiths, on the other hand, can be a PITA. Especially when there are multiples.

If you have to cheat to succeed in Master difficulty, you probably shouldn't be playing it. lol

I've have a good plan for really tough mobs.

    Plan A :
Shoot mob, summon flame atronach, run away in circles.
When FA gets aggro, shoot arrows like mad.
When FA dies and you get aggro back, summon another and run in circles again.
Rinse and repeat until mob dead.
If mob is faster than you die with dignity and go to plan B

    Plan B :
Get aggro from other nasty NPCs (like bandits) and run to tough mob and shoot him.
    Watch the mayhem.

    Plan C :
Shoot mob, run back to city (if close enough) and let the guards help. Loot body when they're done.

This is the beauty of Skyrim, there are always other options.

    Vendor says thanks.
