help OC p5q pro Q6600

hey guy i want to OC abit after a small time running stock
but tthe crapy mobo dont let me OC any more i tryed everthing but nothing works i did mange to boot once at a oc of 333x8 but then after a reboot it did not post anymore i want it to run 333x9 but tehn it wont post

this is what settings i use

MP 09.00x
fbs 333
fbs to mem 400
memory 886mhz cl4
volt i tryed differt volts for cpu nb sb and some ohter options

i tryed 4 pin cpu power in place of the 8pin power but that did not work ether


i am clue less now do u guy know something

second thing i cant OC my 8800gt above 625 core if i go above then the card is not responding

i think
my whole mobo is fed up i always used gigabyte but this is my second asus mobo and i dont have anything good to talk about asus

Go to the P5Q Clubhouse, a lot of people in there have Quads on that board and will be more than happy to help you.

Right, try these settings:

8x multi, 400fsb 1.4V (ram all stock besides voltage - 2.0V, frequency as close to 800 as you can get) and nb / sb on auto, they can adjust very well themselves.

Let me know how that goes.

oke will try it now but ist 9x beter and use less volts

Higher FSB and lower mutli is better than the other way round

1.4v should be necessary for 3.2 GHz tho. But it does depend on the chip.

oke 400x8 does not work to at 1.4v and mem is 800mhz fsb to mem 400 it does not post

but i did mange this whit my gigabyte ds3r p45 a yea ago

this chip is G0 when it first came out

load bios deafults, then set:

FSB: 400
Mutli: 8
Memory: 800 MHz
CPU voltage: 1.4v
RAM voltage: 2.0v
Load Line Calibration: Enabled.

There is no reason I can see that a Q6600 G0 2007 in a P5Q Pro cant boot at that

yea it did work i forget 2 set my ram volts right now is everthing running fine

3,2ghz
fsb1600
mem800 1:1
temps are oke 2 core 40c idle and 2 37c

i go now to the city shoult i run orthos while im gone

and alex i see use win7 only is it good to use it as a main and only os

yea that option is great i did not it was there till u sayed it and i read the text in the bios

Helps with Vdroop, you should always have it running, only ever heard of a few people that claim it hinders overclocking.

it now running orthos prime i go now to the city hope it still runs when i am back and that the temps are still acceptable now i still have to sort my video card out.

when i come back i hope Black Shark run beter

there is a most important question what is you cpu VID , you can find it using real temp
