Benchmark Scores Real Men Crunch 4 TPU!
Hey guys, I'm wondering if I should sell my asus crosshair AM2/AM2+(brand new in box), my coolmax psu 650w, my 4 sticks of G.skill 5-5-5-15 2gb memory, my thermaltake big water 760i (only 2 weeks of use), 6400+ X2, slightly used and cooled with a vapochill, and a orb fan I have.

And then buy the new asus striker 2 board, along with a q6600, and patriot 1066 memory...what do you guys think, wait off on it and keep on with the 6400 x2 or upgrade?

Well, if you can wait, the phenom's got their stuff together, and going to be throwing out some new processors here soon. But to tell you the truth, I'm all for intel now... I use to be AMD and ATI, but its no more... Intel has shown me some good things so I'm all for it.
But here is the question for you.. AMD boy? if so I'd wait... I couldn't wait no more and now I have intel.. but if you can wait then I'd do it.

one problem though, I have nvdia gpu's and no board are offered in the amd/ sli format anymore...

so you want something thats going to use your gpu's? then I suggest going to the Intel side... the only thing is intel don't SUPPORT sli, they SUPPORT DUEL cards... Nvidia made it to where intel can't say they support that.. so when intel parts are shown it will all ways say duel card or crossfire... they were able to get the crossfire name...
So go intel!

Ati is partnered with amd.. so anything that has a amd chipset will say crossfire... but intel made no money spot with n'vidia, so n'vidia says f you. SO now we have any board that is sli compatible to say "Duel" card compatible... You'r cards will work.. I'm just letting you know to not freak if you ever see a board that says no sli but has the words "duel" on it
the boards that say 680i or 780i are the only boards that will SAY SLI compatible.. its a northbridge thing...

I've been a fanboy for a while, but when it comes to the facts, intel has more to offer at the moment, and more upgrade possibility. It's sad for me also, but I need more transitors than just 280 mil, which is all the 6400 can produce.
