Hey guys I just overclocked my rig but I have one question

    u didnt write all of this urself did u, lots of details, anyway, nice overclock, run prime95 or alike to check for stability, if unstable then more voltage might be needed, but afcors make sure to have good airflow to keep things under melting temperatures =) , u know like extra fans and less restricting holes

    To me the temps look fine as I also have a 550be. I know I don't even need to up the voltage until around 3.8ghz if I just use the multiplier to OC.

    Adding voltage to the fsb isn't always necessary, but it can be a good idea if you run into stability problems.
    Generally overvolting the cpu core alone will reach the desired effect.
    If your trying to push the limits on your cpu and you run into a wall you think you can break.
    Upping the fsb voltage might break that little wall for you, so to speak.

    If you got a good 550BE you shouldnt have to add much voltage till you start getting around 3.7 - 3.9GHz. Then its just a small amount. I would not use to much to fast. Take it slow and you will get what you want. Thats a very forgiving chip. I can get mine around 4GHz with less than 1.5v. :toast:
