you have a better CPU and ram than the PC with the 5770.

He used a higher resolution too. And I have to ask, why would you take a screen shot with the least important tab of CPU-Z open?

  5. uhhh i wasn't paying attention and i validated it with cpu-z so i didn't go through the trouble of running 3dm06 again.

May i ask what you mean by that?

Different ram, cpu, and resolution. I'm sure there are other factors not available in the pics that would impact the score.

Because you benched at a different resolution & a different test setup on each of the cards? Honestly, why would you compare video cards with one card paired with an Athlon II clocked @ 3.4 to the other card paired with a Phenom I @ 1.8?

It means that can`t draw any conclusion from it. Comparing Apples and oranges. If you did 3dmark03 on one and 3dmark05 on the other card the result would not be any less conclusive.

  9. True and true. I will get my hands on my cousins rig and put my 4650 in it and see if it still beats the 5770 in his rig.

why don't you both bring your rigs over here and i will test each card in the i7 @4.2ghz? No CPU bottleneck for both cards.will even do a fresh install of windows 7 on a spare HDD
