Noisy HIS IceQ fan.
I remember reading old posts in TPU about the HIS IceQ coolers making funny noises.
Older cards but very similar design.

I just hope they actually feel like replacing it, i mean the PSU they sent me literally blew up as soon as i connected it (it was another corsair 620), so i ended up using my old 620 and that's running fine, basically they seem real stingy with replacements, i mean it's not hard to see that the massive cap in the middle of that PSU is blown literally in half

Ah well, we'll see what happens, overall i love the IceQ 4 cooler, it just looks awesome, and i'm sure it sounds awesome :D

Slightly off topic...You may want to RMA psu's directly to Corsair. The are very responsive with RMA's.

I just got 2 HIS 4850 ICEQ4 Turbos. I hear a slight, barely audible sound from the card but nothing even remotely annoying. Even with both fans @ 100% the two cards are quieter than my dual slot reference design 3870.

The fan is great.

Ah, that would've been a good idea, but yeah, i've got a nice new one now, it only took them a month to finish testing the old one lol

I'm getting my 4850 IceQ Turbo card tomorrow and will post back when I test it out. The IceQ4 Stock & Turbo models use a lower fan profile in the BIOS so hopefully it should be fairly quiet. It was $159.00 (US) after rebate from NewEgg so I couldn't pass it up.

Well, so far so good on the HIS Turbo 4850. It's very quiet, I can't seem to notice any difference over my 120mm case fans (Idle or Load). I think I found a keeper :)

Core = 650
Mem. = 1000x2

Idle Temp: 56-57c
Load Temp: 66-68c

Runs UT2004 great too, no stuttering :rockout:
