    yea i been looking at one of these cards for a while now. ebuyer do them at a nice price as well. i think the only thing stopping me is do i really need to spend £100 making the sword in oblivion nice and smooth???

    I wish some vendor comes up with a brutally OC'ed HD3870 with 1GB of the same banks they're using now (not the GDDR4 ones that come with HD2900 (high latency)) and uses a good custom-cooler or water-block.

    £176 for a HD3870!? You would have to be mad to pay that much when you can get the faster 8800GT for less.

    with an 850 core i aint so sure the gt would be considered faster.. its quite a boost from the normal 777 core speed..

    for them to dare release a 3870 at 850 out of the box it just has to be a "better" core than normal or they have some other secret.. neither of my HIS normal cards would run 850 guaranteed stable..

    My Asus Card does 850 Core stable. stock cooling no Vmods.

    I have the HIS IceQ Turbo HD 3850 check my OC :D. I get 27c idle and 50c load.
