    Get 'em while they're hot!

This is the 512mb version, with advanced exhaust cooling. NewEgg wants $229 for this 735mhz card without the black box. Also, the games in the black box are very good: Portal, Half-Life 2 Episode 2, and Team Fortress 2!

Make sure you add the Black Box when you add the card!

Edit: This is taken from someone who explains how to keep the cheaper shipping once you add the Black Box. Can anyone verify if this works?

This is pretty much a HD3870 on the cheap. 2ghz GDDR3 is probably pretty comparable to 2.4 GDDR4 due to latencies.

Like Wazzle pointed out in many cases, the GDDR4 banks used by ATi have had high-latancies which has sometimes served as a bottleneck. (Classic example: HD2900XT and its variants).

This actually is a better choice. In fact there's a higher clocked variant of the same part for $230.

I've always liked the Ice-Q TurboX
