Hot CPU

Last week I shut down and blew out my pc with a can of air. When I powered back up it shut down after a minute. I noticed that my H50 was hot and the lines coming from it were also hot. I figured the pump died so I got a H60. I powered up and it shut down and it is hot and the lines a also hot. Is the new H60 dead? or could it be something else?

This is going to sound arrogant, I know that much, but for the sake of starting with the simple things, were the pumps connected to the power, both tries?

try a different fan header and set the cpu-fan/system fan control to disabled or 100%

This sounds like the case. Either a BIOS disabled/dud fan header or the pump wasn't plugged in. I have yet to hear any reports on any forums regarding a dead pump from a brand new unit. Sure it's possible, but improbable.

At least try resetting the BIOS, in the event your motherboard is trying to pump 2.0v through your CPU. Could be genuinely getting crazy hot and causing the shutdown.

thanks I got it, Fan header must have been dead or disabled. I should have checked before posting.
