Check it out ladies and gents! If you're looking to upgrade here's your chance. Fry's has a smoking deal on the Phenom II X4 965 (probably a C3 125W version if you look for it in-store) and a very, very solid Gigabyte 785G mATX UD2H motherboard. I personally had that MB myself and regret selling it.

Price is $164.99 + tax - $15 rebate. The rebate basically covers the tax so you're still only paying about $165.

If you don't have a Fry's near you, check Binge's thread out here where our wonderful TPU members will go and pick it up & ship it to you.

I would've picked this up for members, but after the recent stories of people being shafted through that 'Live near Frys/MC' thread- I would rather not chance it.

They are C3 revision chips and they are retail boxed, not tray CPUs. Very limited quantities.

So if I take your logic, it is better than any PII 965 setup xD because it is less than the price of the PII 965

    They're also carrying a deal on the Core i5 540 + a Gigabyte MB for $99.
