Worcestershire County Council is in talks with a U.S. space technology firm over the mini-satellites, which can track roads across the county while recording live information on tailbacks and potholes.

The satellites, which are made by firm CubeSat, cost about £26,000 to launch, although the cost of maintaining and analysing the information could run into tens of thousands of pounds

We just need to find a better damn material to use besides concrete/blacktop/asphalt... If only our governments would invest in infrastructure and not.... Ill just stop.

The Michigan roads crumble to dust through the winter... To much road salt. Not even kidding, there are dirt roads in the upper peninsula Michigan that are better than some paved roads in SE Michigan.

I think this issue should be focused more on the material used.

Must be pretty bad over there if they are considering this eh ?

build them once, build them properly and then dont smash them to bits with excessively loaded waggons that bounce and shatter the running surfaces within 5/6 years of them being laid.
Dont stretch the loads so that the asphalt is laid thin, dont park the paver, CALLTHE LOADS IN EARLY DICK HEADS so the burners cook the layers underneath, it is such basic fucking stuff yet people do it wrong then suffer shitty road surfaces for 20 years till they are relaid again.

Give the guy on the roller a chance to finish his job before you all bugger off in the van.....shit our GB roads are bad enough without us giving the twats the hardest jobs.

Tell the twat who looks after the potholes to tap me up....i will sort the prick out, he can fucking pay me though, im cross now.

Mr Cross,

Wales

ooops sorry TPU.....not like me at all

We can build better roads with currently existing technology. Why we don't is a mystery to me.

And seriously, launching satellites for potholes? Anyone who drives should know potholes in their usual route by heart. It's not like we don't have a ton of space junk floating about already... we have plenty of room...
