i can't make my card (x850XT) to die; when is reach 120 C is reset itself (fan power out)

if i use fan control from atitool and put 0 speed at 100C the fan start spinning

Erm...why would you want to fry it?

And yes, it does that so it doesn't burn itself up...

I don't know if we're really supposed to give such advice here... but have you tried rubbing it in a furry carpet?

Take the card out of the computer.
    Pour gasoline on it.
Light in on fire and let it burn for about 10 minutes.
Take burned card and place in microwave.
Let it cook for about 10 minutes.
    Remove card from microwave.
    Place card on cement block.
    Hit with hammer, repeatedly.

    Guaranteed dead.

Baste it with some ground nut oil and some paprika, place it in to a microwave for two minutes and serve with a salad of black olives and feta cheese and garnish with some fresh ground black pepper.

you could just over charge the capacitors causeing them to burst and making them no longer work. or take a pair of needle nose pliers and rip off some of the tiny little chips on it until it doesn't work anymore make sure you get the hidden ones though ;). and than whalah!. trust me it'll work

How would they tell? It usually doesn't leave any traces of tampering (i done this by accident years ago when i was first into computers)
