I'm trying to get a nice cooler because I would like to keep my processor cool at the current speed. It rises above 50 under heavy load. I hate seeing my processor get that high. However not only do I wish to have it cooler but one that is quiet. I am using stock right now. It is pretty loud at idle. I consider it to be ear hurting at max. I am currently looking at http://www.cbit.ca/product.php?productid=5376&cat=183&page=1. The heatsink + fan is rated around 50 dB at max and around 30 or less at idle. It also seems to have received pretty good reviews. Again I appreciate that it's local.

Are there any other good heatsinks/fans?

It's a bit dated, but you could get an AC Freezer 64 Pro. It keeps my overclocked Regor at 33C load. I have it run full blast all the time, and it is not audible over my single 120mm case fan.

I was incredible surprised how cool yet quiet the Cooler Master Vortex 752 is for the price. Hopefully BarbaricSoul agrees with me when he receives it.
