Four GPU's clearly don't scale as well as 3?

Fine, it's a conspiracy. Inter dimensional aliens are planning to take over our universe and somehow that's related to these video cards.

Anything else you wish to hear?

I agree. Two terrible answers. My guess is that the 295s have a bandwidth issue that the 285s in tri-sli don't. Argue it all you want, but they can push higher clocks than the 295s, have just as many shader cores, but the architecture itself can actually support the 240 shaders. I don't think the 216s were even a great idea. After seeing Tatty_One overclock a 260 192 to the point it beats most 280s I can see that the bandwidth does not harm the card with that many shader cores... but I have not seen a 260 score that well since that time. What makes people think that giving it even more shader cores is going to change this?

Well, gosh! It's either this or Dan's inter-dimensional-alien theory. It's so hard to know what to believe these days!

I'd like to know that my father is in a better place than that hole they dug up in the ground.

Can ya do that for me, magic man, can ya?!

    You see what I'm getting at though? It's not a GTX280x2 it's a GTX260x2 extra core edition!!!

Actually, I think you're very smart. That was precisely what I came up with as well.

And it's not even that. It's an extra shader core edition.

Well, I have no choice here. I need to run 4 monitors, so I'll be going Quad. And I'll stick multiple fans and buy the backplate in order to overclock the RAM as far as it can go. Maybe if I reach 2400Mhz I'll beat Tri-SLi. After all, it already is overclocked pretty much as far as it will go.

Btw, since it appears you've managed to overclock your i7 920 past 4.0Ghz, you no longer have the right to talk to me. Please leave or you will be escorted off my interenets.

I've always thought that Dan's excess of sand in his vagina was sig-worthy. Nice to be appreciated for yours ideas.
