i feel like a right noob askin this but hey,
So how do i partian my hdd using the vista disk? I no it has hte option that says partian but the thing is i have it all installed on my hdd with just one big partian an i wanna make a new from the free space. I dont want to risk just clicking the partian button an it formating my whole hdd. Im doin it so that i can store all my Uni work on that seperate partian then if all goes tits up i dont loose it all
    cheers ste
(sorry if this dnt make much sense just spent 4 hours staring at the screen doin work an am very tiered :D)

Best to make the partition before installing windows. Put the CD in, boot from it and when it asks where you want to install it, you can then create partitions.

I should mention there are programs, I think one is called partition magic where you can do it after a windows install, I just have no experience with them. :toast:
