From time to time people usually my hardware support people assk me for the photos of various parts of my PC.

    I don't have a digital camera or a webcam.

What is the cheapest way of taking such picures & sending them as e mail attachment ?

A cheap digital camera or a webcam or something else ?

Please do give specifics specs of such device & brand name if possible.

Also what kind of software do I need to capture such photos ?

you dont really need much software... mspaint will view them fine. you can take a pic with just about any camera that can connect via usb or has a memory card and of course a ,card reader for it. most cameras will save in. jpeg/.jpg format. you can upload them at techpowerup.org or just email them to whoever.

My phone has a 5mp camera on it. I use that to take pictures of my pc parts. If you are sending them to people over email and such, you don't what a high end camera... I've tried to explain this to my wife.. she has a 14mp camera and as many pictures that she takes.. I have to keep up with over 90gb's of pictures...lol
