Depends. There are assholes with 20 posts / day, most not very meaningful, just people full of hot air with nothing important to say. They dont technically get in trouble because they are following the rules.
Let me edit this to disregard hellbend4. He is still full of hot air, but I like the guy.

Unfortunately the mods/admin have much better things to do than to go around pruning the forums, so the reasoning behind my post is to remind people to not reply just for a post-count e-penis. Which is completely different to being a useful member of the community.

However, if only an emote is deemed necessary in a reply I have nothing against that. It's a useful post. If someone is inciting arguments, or generally just talking shit then by all means remove it and deduct it from there post count.

Like I said, there are more important things for mods/admin to do than to prune.

It's not always 5000 posts. You could become a moderator and get the Moderator title, or you could get banned and get the Banned title, or you could get lucky like Kriej and get it because somebody posted about a dream they had where a bunch of TPU members got togeather and killed him...

You need 5000 posts to have a custom title, bring something unique to the community, or somehow do something that W1zzard finds entertaining.
You can try creating a endless stream of junk in order to get it, but you have no life it it's that important to you.
Members will probably notice your excessive spamming, even if the staff doesn't, and probably won't like you much if you take that route. There's no point in having a custom title in a community that doesn't respect you.
If a moderator does notice that you are spamming junk in order to increase your post count you may receive infractions and possibly have your post count returned to zero. W1zzard has done it.
Good luck and I hope you become a valuable, long-term, member of the community that earns his custom title.
