How does the "report post" function work?

So I was wondering about that. Is the report sent to a randomly chosen mod or is it sent to a shared inbox or something?

I'm just curious. Also I smell a possibility to misuse it as a way to write hilarious PMs to mods.

Reported posts are sent to the Moderator Lounge as it's own thread where all moderators can see it. If you want to PM a mod, send a PM.

When you tick the report post button this appears underneath the text box:

Note: This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts. You may also use this feature to request moderator action or advise on one of your own posts, for example to get a thread moved to a more appropriate forum.
