would like to know your opinionon something else....I have two sapphire hd5850, one still in box and other in my puter now, Iseen the 5870 vapor-x and it looks to be a very nice card as well cooling looks to be very nice,Would it be any advantage for me to sell both my 5850 and buy the 5870 vapor-x card?, I was also looking at the 5970 but price for those are way to high for me so next best looks to be the vapor 5870, what are your thoughts on this? thanx ..as always I do appreciate what you guys have to say as Iam fairly new to ati graphics thanx Dragon

Minimum 10% better, or more...10% difference in shaders, plus 10% in clocks, but sometimes cpu limitations come into play...

You are wanting to sell 2 5850s for 1 5870? If that is the case than I say no way.

Look in the new vantage thread... Dual 5850s in xfire are far better then 1 5870.

I just got a 5870, but that was because I found a $30 dollar discount code....otherwise I would have just got the 5850. There really insnt THAT much of a difference in the two from what I've read, and supposedly the 5850 OC's really well. So If you cant use CF then I would sell the other 5850 & keep that money in a jar for next year the the 59XX or whatever price comes down to earth.

Do you mean you don't have a Crossfire bridge? Or (just curious) what's stopping you from running them in CF?
