The overpriced RAM was an accident/miscommunication. I thought I would be going with an APU at first, and he ended up buying the RAM ahead of time. I wanted a SSD.

Anyway, the price we agreed on.... Was $675.

OneMoar - I cannot built my own due to having unsteady hands due to a medical condition. I've tried, can't do it.

I'll just pay him the $675. He also has to pay Amazon fees which I believe are 6% and $5, and to ship this computer to me.

Please do not buy that rig, I would not normally give advice like this as I appreciate that you will be letting him down on a verbal agreement, your stance is admirable, however if I tried to sell someone that rig for $675 I would most certainly know that I was taking them for a ride and for that reason alone use your money more wisely my friend, he certainly does not deserve it, but of course the choice is yours. I am not suggesting that he has given himself a huge margin in that price, only that you could probably get something equally as good for a bit cheaper or even something faster for the same price.

I hope you're not making this decision to buy because you feel intimidated by the seller. There are things that don't make sense about this build. You would be fine with 8 GB 1600 MHz RAM and instead of the Samsung EVO a 1 TB HDD. That would bring down the cost some. Remember you've got to spend another 100 for an OS.

Is the seller offering any kind of warranty on this PC?

I live in Illinois, US.

I would be happy to pay you, but there is one small caveat. We will have to do this through Amazon since most of my money is in Amazon credit, leaving me limited options. So you will have to set up an Amazon account if you don't already have one, and charge me enough to cover their 6% fee on the total, and the $5 to list the thing so I can buy it.

Edit: Or I could just buy the parts on Amazon, send them to you and Paypal your fee and the shipping to me.

There has to be someone local that can build it for you. My hands shake quite a bit too so I understand what a nuisance it can be.

I don't know anything about Lenovo but the price comes in cheaper than the OP was going to spend and it comes with OS. What does the TPU community think of this?

Looks nice and good price.

Seems like an incredible deal, but I still want small form factor.

Also, I might get railed on for saying this, but I plan on using Linux.
I doubt you will be harassed for using linux on a computer nerd forum ;)

Compiling everything from source is the only TRUE way of installing software. I wish I was that manly. :(

Anyway I just want to say that I don't think he's getting ripped off as such, as the components alone are close to $600 on Newegg (with sales and stuff). It's just not a very cost effective setup.

Yeah the sellers margin is not as big as people are making it out to be.
