Any chance of a fix for the avast 6.0 BSOD any time soon?

It's avast problems but not SLIPatch(maybe nvidia asked them?). As it see kernel option is set(no matter original kernel or patched) it gives you BSOD. For now i'm not going to make support for avast because of not many users experience it, and i dont like support soft which specially BSODs. Nevertheless if there is many users would use avast i'll make support for it.

I recommend Comodo internet security. It's bulletproof, one of the highest rated, has both AV and firewall, and gives no problems for slipatch. I guarantee it's much better security than avast.

This is for full internet security, as in av + firewall, but check the stats, look how low avast scores:

Hi
Before I go out and get another GTX480 I was wondering if 3d vision surround works ok. I never play any games in 2d anymore. I have an Asus p5E3 premium wifi, 8gb DDR3, win 7 x64 SP1 q9650 cpu @4ghz. Anyone had any experience getting 3d vision working on 3 screens with the patch.
I understand no one will guarantee it will work however if someone can tell me the chances are high or even if some has had experience with this you would make me a very happy man and I will go and get another gtx 480 this weekend.
Many Thanks

I got 3d vision surround working with the 1.2 patch (didnt get it to work with 1.0). I tested civ5 and world of warcraft: both work fine.

Wow, trying to got through all of the posts to find out exactly how to properly install and run everything is virtually impossible without a lot of time on one's hands!

I think what needs to be done, is a single thread created with the newest instructions and patch and then it needs to be locked. Use this thread for discussion and patch updates. The original thread starter of the other thread could then unlock the thread long enough to update the one and only post and then lock the thread again. :)

Actually stinger608, not needed. Here's the instructions, get ready, have a pen? 1, 2, 3,
Install Slihack 1.2 beta, reboot using slienabeled boot entry, boot up, go into nvidia control panel. Enable multi gpu (sli) mode. Add sli profiles for games you wish to play. Rock out!
Edit1: try to have updated drivers like 267.46 installed as well. Don't expect older drivers to work with newer hack well, or newer games, use your noggin!

You wont need it with the 590, the reason being there's an NF200 controller chip on that card, and that takes care of all the SLi stuff.

Have you tried the newest version of SLihack? (1.2 I believe)

Hi all.

I'm planning on having GTX 590 Quad SLI on Tyan S7025 with the Intel 5520 chipset.
The GTX cards have NF200 chips, but without SLI patch I'm still limited to one card internal SLI only - right?

Thats correct, but I believe the new version of SLiHack includes support for the 5520.

Hello, i have a Asus P5Q Deluxe and i would like to know if this hack will work to sli 2 gtx460.
Thanks

I have the p5q pro turbo MB and same 2 video cards. I installed the new slipatch, rebooted in teh win7 x64 sli boot option it put in, my nvidia control panel shows the option to enable sli. When I click on that to enable SLI the application just hangs.

I have not been able to get it working.

Any advice what I am missing here?

Sinzia, yes i tried everything i could, each card works separately in any pci, but i cant make to windows recognize both at same time, when i put the second card it simply wont appear on the system. I gave up and order an GTX570 or maybe a GTX590 im looking at clearance in my case im not sure i can fit the 590 yet.

I've got a bit of an odd issue; my vantage scores haven't increased over my 2x GTX260 scores.

And I'm running 2x 470s now? (Patch 1.0 Anatoly)

Thanks Buddy. I have ordered another gtx480 so i'll report back with my findings next week. Ive got my fingers and toes crossed this works as it will save me £500 of unecessary upgrades.

:respect:

Well my second gtx 480 turned up yesterday, fitted it, stuck my SLI bridge on. I pressed the power button nervously and stood back with a very worried look on my face. Booted into windows and enabled SLI. Tested on Left 4 dead 2 and Black Ops both in 3d vision and works fantastically. I had to mess around with my 4ghz overclock as the second card has affected it (nothing to do with the patch) so set my q9650 to 3.6ghz until I have more time. Benchmark in vantage comes out at 30k for GPUs on 800mhz core. Kombustor works fine and stresses my cards no probs. The speeds I'm getting are crazy quick... just need a new cooler now for my new card to match my KFA2 Anarchy gtx480 in the second slot.

Amazing. All I can say is thanks again... I can't believe how well that patch works. If I could make a donation I would.

Now for 2 more monitors.
Please feel free to add my motherboard and the gtx480 to the compatibility list if anyone has access to it (P5E3 Premium x48).

Cheeeeeeeeers

im glad others are having success with this but it didnt work for me. It gave my nvidia control panel the option for sli, which was great, but it keeps hanging on me and never actually sets it up.

So i decided not to worry about it and uninstall the slipatch. Here is the issue... it doesnt uninstall nice at all. In fact it totally corrupts the windows 7 boot MBR records. So when I removed the 2nd card, the pc no longer would boot. BSD. I put the 2nd card in, boots fine. Remove both cards and put in any other card, BSD.

Flashed the MB bios back to original - no luck. It totally corrupted my win 7 MBR.

So I had to reimage the pc and now its fine.

Anyhow, just an FYI if you decide to stop using that slipatch

Have you got anything overlocked? Maybe a PSU issue or not enough watts to go around?

Hi, I have a problem with the SLI patch, it does not work with
my setup anymore...

My setup is:
2x 9800GTX 512MB XFX (one is Black Edition, but I downlock her to stock)
MSI 890FXA-GD70 MBO
AMD Phenom II 555BE x2 @ B55 x4 4GHz
2x 2GB Mushkin Stilleto 1600MHz CL 9-9-9-24
Corsair VX550W

My System is W7 x64 Ultimate + SP1.

My driver is:
ForceWare 258.96

I tryed the 0.9B, 1.0 and 1.3B batch, but it does just BSOD when i choose the SLI
patch.

Here are the CPU-Z and the GPU-Z:
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1740359

Any help?

What driver and what patch should I use?

Thank You

EDIT: Fixed, unistalled Avast 6, works now with no problem...

Hello everyone,

This is my first ever post here and I just need something clearing up if that's ok :p I am just about to order my 2nd 570sc and decided to install the patch first to make sure everything seems ok before I shell out a load of money, all seems well and the system boots ( after removing avast that is:banghead:)

My problem is that in everest it reports no SLI certificate present... is this a problem or do I not need to worry? I am running 1.0 final on a crosshair iv formula board

Thanks in advance

Major problem with the latest beta driver, the 270.51 :(

I get fliquering in every game in Sli mode.

Seems that Nvidia made a new protection...

Update: Not only fliquering but also low framerate
