i have an ISO and i want to bust it up and get teh stuff on it and seal it back up, what to use?
winrar or demon tools.
You could burn it to a CD or DVD as well.
magicdisc is by far the best iso mounting software i've used. it'll mount the iso in as a virtaul drive just like a real disc.
ok maybe i didnt explain myself properly ...
i have an *.iso or whatever format file, and i want to open it and put file in there teh original author didnt remember to put on it and save it back as an *.iso file or whatever image format, what can do this?
hmmm. i cant remember how i did this. i doctored my windows xp cd a while back, i dont think winrar does this.. and i dont think magicdisc either.
try to find winiso is an iso editor
UltraISO/PowerISO/MagicISO/ISObuster. All will do the function you are requesting.
magiciso! thats the one i used. nice and free and does the job well, magicdisc is also made by the makers of magic iso
I have PowerISO and MagicISO,prefer PowerISO though, but both do the job for you.
Just think PowerISO has an easier GUI to use.
winrar cant edit, only unpack, cant repack it to an iso either.
You guys are forgetting the best 2 Software!!!!
Nero Premium 8
Alcohol 120% *recommended*
lol. alcohol is preety common for iso files too, suprised that no one mentioned it. magiciso is a nice a free program. did the job for me way back.
Alcohol also supports dozens of other formats.
theres daemon tools too
D-tools < Alcohol 120
D-tools are OK, but Alcohol's virtural drives are eaiser to mount files. all you gotta do it right click, and choose "load image" right on the drive. Alcohol doesn't even need to be running when you do this either, so it takes a load off the CPU if you're playing a "backed up" game
magicdisc is the best virtual drive software i've used.
Yes, but PowerISO does it ALL in one easy to use program.
I think you are forgetting tho 3991. Those 2 are for virtualization and creation, not EDITING.
i like poweriso, it performed well for me.
firts you need to open the image with a drive emu (alcohol, daemon) or ultraiso
then copy all archives from iso to a folder
then using isobuster, nero, ect create an iso
you cant add files to an iso, cuz they are kinda closed for editing
(i´m almost sure you want to add a crack to an iso game) i am right??
You are going about it the long way sixor. Use PowerISO.
yay! what program did you use?
well i´ll try, but i though isos were closed for adding files (rom only)
