i want to increase the size of my windows-partition from 25gb to 75gb, but i don't know how to do this... i've got 400gb free space on my other partition (i've got 2 partitions on my 500gb hdd), and i want to drag some of that 400gb over to my windows-partition so it gets bigger...

is that possible, or? if so, how do i do it? is there a program that lets me do this, maybe? any help? thanks a bunch in advance!

IIRC you can't expand a partition without losing the stuff on it.

oh yes... i forgot to mention that i will be reinstalling my windows tonight, from my current winxp to win7... so it doesn't matter if i lose data on my windows-partition since i will be formating it anyway. as long as i don't lose the stuff i've got on the other partition, it's ok.. :) so i should use the Easeus Partition manager for this before i start the reinstallation process, huh?

You can use easeus, if you have it.

As far as I know; yes. But, I believe it is a discontinued product and old in the tooth, IMO it was never worth a cr*p after Norton got their hands on it.

I do it all the time. I use paragon partition manager. Never had any error and its real easy. You just select a partition you want to expand and then select where the free space is coming from.

Then you just let the program do the rest.

I just did this a few weeks ago when I upgraded from 320 to 500gb. I had 180gb free space that Windows Disk management didn't know what to do with it. Other than create a 3rd partition with it.

Instead, I used Paragon to transfer the unallocated space to C:.
