Im ditchin both the ZA & NoD32 for Kaspersky Internet Security - got 1 oem copy runnin on my laptop & already its prevented the same thing happening all over again when i surf my porn sites :p

so all hail kaspersky

Meh, I wouldn't trade nod for anything. I fixed a PC with kasperksy. There was about 7 trojans and some viri on there.
Eset now has the new versions out (for a while now). Smart Security has a firewall built in.

Also, sounds like you need to install the NoScript extension. That basically takes care of any of that BS on porn sites (since you connect to all kinds of shit unknowingly) and of course adblock plus, filterset g, etc if you don't already have those :)

did i forget to mention that my Nod32 is a *borrowed* version??? its like a trial version with an unlocked timer - possibly the reason why so many features are left out. either that or its an old version & needs to be updated

Yeah, it's probably 2.7 with the unlimited trial (or possibly older ver).
When you install (especially that ver) you have to do a custom install and enable some options b/c I don't think they are on by default. Might be a reason why that stuff got through :shrugs:

well I enabled most things even that threatsense crap. but this is the only problem ive had with trojans since ive had ZA & NOD32 on my system so its been awesome for over a year

EDIT:

Ive tried the new NOD32 with the built in firewall but i heard that the firewall on it is crap - & also running 2 firewalls at the same time will chew up resources. as there is no way to PERMERNANTLY disable the nod32 firewall - it will start up each time you boot & I have fussy shit like that. got better things to do then waste precious seconds clicking the disable firewall button each time i boot.
