HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

That's what this version of my patched driver is, just unpack differetsli to a folder of your choice, download my patched driver (double check the version number, it's in the download name),
make sure you've already installed 353.06 drivers first from nvidia's site, then run the install command, you should be able to activate sli mode then.

A few people seem to be a little confused as to how to use my download, here's a step by step on how to do this:

*****If you have hypersli installed, run the hypersli installer and uninstall it and reboot your computer before proceeding!******

1. Go to http://www.geforce.com/drivers, select your operating system and video board in the list, download the driver installer.

2. Download my patched nvlddmkm35306.rar file here: http://www.gamefront.com/files/25037260/nvlddmkm35306.rar Uploaded 6/1/2015

*** NOTE *** always check back here on these forums for the current release version,
I will have the current version in the filename and when it was uploaded on any new
posts here.

3. Go to https://github.com/EmberVulpix/DifferentSLIAuto/releases and download the 1.3 release file.

4. Unpack differentsli into a folder of your choice.

5. Unpack my patched nvlddmkm35306.rar file into the same folder where you put differentsli.

6. Install nvidia's official drivers (353.06).

7. Go back to where differentsli is installed, you might need to pause your anti-virus program too.

8. Open a command prompt (administrator version) and run the Install.cmd, it should say it was successful, if it says there was a problem, don't continue, post here as to what the error was. Unpause your anti-virus program.

9. Reboot your computer, once it's back up, go to your nvidia control panel and activate sli mode.

Please note, this patched driver is only for systems that don't otherwise support sli, my system only officially supports crossfire for example, but I'm running nvidia boards, not ati, so I have to install
my patched driver. Double check your motherboard specs, if your mb was made in the last few years, it might support both crossfire and sli, you just need to select which in your bios or mb switch.

The only other reason to use this patched driver is if you want to mix different model nvidia video boards and still have sli mode to some degree. Please note the video bd has to
be 'new' enough to support sli, nearly every nvidia board made in the last 10 years should
be able to handle sli mode, a dead give away is if the bd in question has a sli bridge
connector on it.

Very important! make sure that the nvidia driver your downloading and the patched driver
your downloading matches in the version numbers, I'll always put for what version my
patched driver file is for in the download link, don't get them mixed up...

You need to open a command prompt in administrator mode, click on your start menu, right-click on 'command prompt', select 'run as administrator', navigate back to where you have differentsli installed, pause your
anti-virus program, and run the install.cmd, once it's completed, unpause your anti-virus program, and reboot your computer, once it's back up, go to your nvidia control panel and activate
sli mode.

Read through my instructions in my previous post, make sure you downloaded my patched
driver and unpacked it in the different sli folder.

What is the exact text of the error message? Open another administrator command prompt and enter the following command:

Install.cmd > out.txt

Open the out.txt file in notepad or wordpad, right-click on some text and click on 'select all', come back here and in the 'post reply' box, right click
and hit 'paste'.

Also, what version of windows are you running?

You don't need the source code files, get the zip file that's 235k in size and unpack that to a folder of your choice, download and unpack my patched driver file into the same folder, open a administrator cmd prompt
and run the install.cmd. If I translated your text properly, it's telling you exactly what to do. it sounds like your either downloaded the wrong package, or your unable to open a administrator cmd prompt.

You didn't say anything about having hypersli installed. differentsli and hypersli don't work together, run the hypersli installer and uninstall hypersli, reboot your pc, and then run the install.cmd
again from the differentsli folder.

I looked at your screenshot, it looks like you are running the cmd prompt with admin access, but for some reason the install.cmd keeps thinking you don't have admin access.
Try the following:

Open the folder where you have differentsli installed, hold down the left-shift button and right-click anywhere in the window, make sure you don't have any files highlighted
select 'Open command window here' and try running install.cmd again.

Also right-click on the install.cmd file, go to properties, and click on 'unblock' if the above
advice didn't work, then try running install.cmd again.

Glad you got it going! I wouldn't have advised deleting anything out of the install.cmd file, but it worked for you, this whole thing might have been due to
uac being turned up too high, I have uac off on my system, I was going to suggest turning uac down or off if my last advice hadn't worked.

If you mean you can't play resolutions higher then what your monitor supports, that mode works fine for me in most of the games I play. Don't know what to suggest there.

DRS can climb resolutions more 'high to the maximum resolution of your monitor.
Disabling SLI can play 2500x1440 to 1920x1080 gaining in terms of image sharpness but if I enable SLI your computer crashes

ok it all works and that thxs for that but there is one thing buggy me to hell and i hate it
is there any way to turn off the TEST mode windows 7 build 7601 watermarks!

ive tryed goggle it and there is a way to turn it off in the cmd but it stops the sli patch working afterwards
so is there another way?

Sorry, not that I know of, by installing a modified driver that's already been signed by nvidia, windows activates it's test mode, you'll just have to live with the small white text at the bottom right-hand
corner of your screen. At least it's mostly unobtrusive, if there were some way to change the color of the text to make it match your desktop background that would help....
