So i feel like someone is having access to my computer through wifi because it gets me sometimes the firefox for no reason to stuck and also feel like my pc is not secure from the wifi networks if you know what i mean so is there anyway to protect my pc?

I think they are having access to my pc because the other day i was able to locate other people computers through my network they were showing up on computer tab , but i wasn't able to access however there is a computer that i am 60% sure that i can able to share some files.

You can install a program called who is on my wifi to monitor your connections
but you MUST ALSO
Change your WIFI password, Make sure you use WPA2 and turn off WPS

There should be options in your router set up that can restrict access check to see if you can filter wireless by MAC not full proof or hacker proof but helps to restrict your wifi to devices of your choice down side is MAC addresses Can be Spoofed

Just being able to "see" the other computers does not mean those users can get "into" your computer.

Sure you can protect your PC. Make sure your firewall is enabled, you use a decent and current anti-malware solution, you keep Windows fully updated, and you are not "click-happy" on unsolicited downloads, attachments and link. And also, make sure you are not "sharing" any of your drives or folders. I use Windows Firewall on all my systems. And I use Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) on my W7 system, and the built in Windows Defender on my W8 system. I also use and recommend Malwarebytes's Anti-Malware (MBAM) for supplement scanning just to make sure nothing got by me, or MSE/WD (and in the 6 years since MSE came out, nothing has).

As noted above, you MUST access your WAP's (wire access point - may be integrated with a "wireless router") admin menu and see what is going on. Once in the admin menu, look for "Attached devices". From there you can see what devices are currently attached to your network (not your computer). If you don't recognize them, then that is a problem. Just remember that many devices like newer smart TVs, Roku, game stations, cell phones, and Blu-ray players use wifi too. I recommend you change the passphrase to access the WAP - but just remember all your authorized devices will need to be setup again with the new passphrase. And make it a long and hard passphrase with alphanumeric and special characters - not anything a nearby neighbor can guess.

because it gets me sometimes the firefox for no reason to stuck
Not sure what you mean there, but like xorbe noted, that is probably normal. It could be FF is just hanging, or if you have a several unauthorized users accessing your network, they could be hogging your bandwidth.

If you can, switch to Ethernet.

I have to say considering the topic of your thread, your username is bit ironic! ;)

He has to be. He is the one responsible for your security and wellbeing. It still wouldn't hurt if he had a look at the attached devices to make sure only those authorized on your home are connected.

Days? Less than 1.

Its probably his phone.
Yeah. When I got my new phone, it automatically connects to a wifi network but shows up in my router as something weird I didn't recognize at first. And if this device, "HPBDA925" didn't have HP as the first two letters, I wouldn't have guessed it was my HP printer.

sounds like excessive paranoia to me.
Better than not caring about security at all.

So we need to establish how/where you are connecting. Are you an authorized user on a private wireless network? Or are you going through a free hotspot?

Either way, this does NOT mean others can access your computer. But it could mean they are seeing what you are doing over the network.

what is the WPS ? btw my wpa2 is off.

You say WPA2 is off, but then say security type is WPA2-Personal, which is good.

i used to "check the security" for a local shop near where i used to live as they had blazing fast internet and i was too poor to buy my own then. their passwords changed every day to new random digit strings yet my gtx460 would take only moments to break it or i could sniff it out in around an hour.

i used to print rude pictures and spell out i am watching on the shop printers 1 letter per page.

i told them it was me one day and their tech guy was like, yea i am shocked more are not doing it as our system is pants xD

they just asked that i stopped printing pron off in the shop xD

i was using software you can find in minutes with a google search and a mid ranged gaming pc. the shop was a multi national corp with a massive online presence....

they could of stopped me by setting up their network with a white list, much like you could now really but i think it is about the only way to keep peolpe out that you dont want in :)

Hacking a wireless network and printing to a networked computer is much different (and easier) than hacking the computers on the network. While what you did is clearly scumbag behavior (and potentially illegal!) which I hope you are not proud of, it demonstrates how insecure wifi networks can be. The perils, besides eating up printer ink, include scumbags using that network to distribute pornography and spam, or participate in DDoS attacks using that network's IP. Not cool as that can get the legitimate user into significant legal trouble, or get his access totally blocked by the ISP. :(

This insecure access also allows unauthorized users to hog the bandwidth by streaming movies or Torrents or mining. Some ISP service contracts have limits and restrictions that may be reached before the end of the billing cycle forcing extra charges on the subscriber. :(

There are many ways to keep unauthorized users out. Strong passphrases are not easily hacked. MAC filtering can used as well as limiting the number of connections.

And while hidden SSIDs can easily be determined by a determined hacker, it still adds another layer of security to thwart the typical scumbags as they tend to go for the "easy pickings".
