It's listed as an P-MVA panel on [H], but an S-PVA on tftcentral. I tend to believe tftcentral, judging by the [H] reviewer's comments on the deep blacks.

Acer has become a killer bang-for-your-lcd-buck brand in recent times.

I am definately considering the Acer as the best bet.
Not only is it one of the lowest in price, but it consistently appears to be a superior product to the more expensive monitors in the same specification range.
