Dx11 will be out, but how many games will utilize it? I say go for a case now so you have a good fundamental basis to start from. I have a few rigs/cases and the Coolermaster Centurion 590 is my favorite. Better than the Antec 300. No flashy clear side panels. This thing is all business and has good airflow. Should be able to get it for $85-$90.00 shipped.

Ok, if you want good airflow you will need a $50.00+ case. This is what i have figured with the S1283 combined with the case.

Phenom II X2 550. In the reviews, it goes to 3.8 on air.

EDIT: For the price, the Antec 300 doesn't suck, but its very, very ugly and a little small.

It has a nice industrial look. Who told you it sucks? It's a solid case with good airflow at a nice price from what I've seen.

    Skip the S1283....

    http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/akevo120fori.html

That will give you about $70 for a case on the egg.

    EDIT:

And for those of you that are skeptical of this cooler, I have personal usage of it the M0 e5200 @ 3.6Ghz@1.42v never went above 55C linpack load on both cores.

Damn good little case. Keeps my G/F's rig cool, quiet, has a front filter, spots for 2x120 front, 1x120 side, 1x120 rear, 1x140 top. It comes with one in the front, rear and top which was plenty, I added another to the front, very effective, only a couple degrees shy of my antec 900 cooling-wise for much cheaper, decent quality build, ok cable mgt, plenty of airflow, plenty of room for large vid cards in my experience. I highly recommend this case for anyone on a tighter budget that needs a solid case with good cooling. I'm very happy with the 300, more-so than I was with the 900 tbh for the price I'd rather have the 300, as it provides a good bang for the buck imo.

The CD/HDD/Fan bay is offset to the left so you have some room on the RH side to stuff cables, it's not amazing, and I'm using a modular PSU in her case which helps, but even without a modular PSU you could manage the wires so you don't hinder airflow, which imo is much more important than looks any day.
