    Looking for a socket 478 533 FSB 3.06MHZ specifically... I know someones got one out there. Hell I KNOW I gave away at least 10 of them back in the day!!!

    Im about 50% sure i have one in my pile of cpu's. and im pretty sure its a 3.06 but i wont be able to check until tuesday. ill sub for now

    Tekie... been around still doing computer consultant and networking. It kinda got be burnt out on the whole custom computer deal. I still visit here every so often and just browse around and see whats up!

    Lazzer... I appreciate, but I really need the 3.06 because its the fasted that my friends POS will take and it SHOULD have HT, which the 2.8 I do not believe does.

    I had heard that pre-Core 2 Intel QSpecs had an unlocked multiplier.

    Easiest way to find these chips are to goto CPUworld.com and find the chip your after. then use the Stepping codes (like the ones i posted above) and search ebay or hell even google. your bound to find some cheap somewhere!

    Yea true. I always look here before I go to other places but for something this cheap I would have probably snatched one off ebay for 15$ :)

    Another reason why I want to stay away from that one in particular is that is in B.F.E... aka CHINA. Wait 2 week? DAMNED ThAT

    all 4 chips for 8$ shipped (from EU) shipping time about 5-10days

    Wow I didn't know so people still messed with 478 stuff. Why not grab a cheap OEM 775 board and stick a prescott in it? o.o

    Just checked my stock at work, no 478 3.06GHz chips, all the 478 chips I have are 800FSB.:(
