Hi All,
Hope you guys having a wonderful day.

Here is my dilemma. I recently purchased a EVGA GeForce GTX 780 6GB SC Graphics Card. I will attach my entire system specs "dxdiag" in a bit. I am trying to run games like Shadow of Mordor, NBA 2k15 and other games that are actually optimized okay on High-Ultra settings. For some odd reason, I am getting poor FPS results when I benchmark in many programs. I have all updated drivers so thats not the issue, I try overclocking, nothing major besides crashing of my games.. I'm not much over a overclocking guru anyways.

I have came to a stand-still because I have no idea what the issue is.

Can any of you guys, gurus, or whoever that knows what they are saying.. please help me with this issue. I do not feel like buying another card since I shelled out almost 700 on this card. : http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K699CRW/?tag=tec06d-20

I would like to point out the fact that this youtuber has the same card as I, but is getting way better results.. Please watch this vid and see what I mean:

Attached is my dxdiag. Please review and honestly let me know what you think.

Thanks so much!

Can you confirm the card is running at PCI-E 16x speed? Are you using a soundcard?

I would like to add that I just re-installed Windows 8 64bit. I hated Windows 7.

Can you confirm the card is running at PCI-E 16x speed? Are you using a soundcard?

You could try this program. See line "Bus Interface", that may tell you. It is to the left of the blue question mark '?'.

For a test you could try removing the soundcard from the motherboard and making sure the videocard is in the top lane. Run the games and benchmarks with the soundcard removed.

Thanks to you and Frick for responding. Right now both the sound card and my Graphics card are in different slots. I'll remove the sound card when I get home. I will try running the GPU-Z to see if my Bus Interface. What should it say if it is running correctly?

Sorry not much of a software guy.

Just a quick question, could the sound card really cause the issue though? i just released on my older setup, I didnt use a sound card. I just had the graphics card connected thats it. I'll give it a shot and let you guys know. If you have any other suggestions, please post. I'll def update this thread as soon as I get home. Thanks again guys :)

You need to tell us what your system specs are so we can tell if it is bottle necking your graphics card.
What motherboard, cpu, ram, hard drive, and power supply are you running?

You can fill those in on your profile and make them public if you want or just post them up.

I'll post them here and on my account later.

Here is what I have:
Mobo - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CYWDKWM/?tag=tec06d-20

CPU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116901

Power Supply - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A00LR6G/?tag=tec06d-20

How can I check what exact RAM and HD I have? I didn't upgrade those so there the stock ones.

Thanks!

Bus speed is correct, you wanted 3.0 x16 which you have. Is this with the soundcard in or out?

Reason I ask is soundcard if installed in the wrong slot can take away PCI-E lanes and therefore decrease the bandwidth available to the graphics card.

From the DXDIAG report you provided. It looks like you are using a WD Blue HDD? That product came up for the drive name I found. But I couldn't find the exact model of drive.
The person in the video I believe has 32GB of ram running at 2400mhz and he is using a corsair SSD.
If you are using your page file a lot, this would cause performance issues.

you are running old drivers or direct x files then that would be it.

get the newest stable drivers from nvidia and run the directX setup from that game itself.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the suggestions above. I'll go ahead and try everything you guys stated above.

Yesterday and today, I purchased both a new mobo and psu:

Mobo - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...cm_re=asus_motherboard-_-13-132-125-_-Product

PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...9051&cm_re=corsair_750-_-17-139-051-_-Product

I called EVGA and they helped as well. I came to a conclusion, besides what you guys suggested above, that this might be a mobo issue. Prior to installing my current mobo, my old mobo (stock) never had performance issues.

I am lead to believe that once I installed my current mobo "asrock" all kinds of issues were occuring ie. audio chopping and crackling and GPU performance issues.

I will swap out my psu and mobo tonight as well as try the suggestions above and see what happens.

Yesterday, I tried removing my sound card and the issue still existed. I used OC Scanner from EVGA max settings and got a score of I think 19000 with 300 FPS no artifacts... so Idk...

I will google around and see how I can lower the page file. I bought a machine similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B16Y9IG/?tag=tec06d-20

but mine came with a i7-3770k. It came with windows 8, I removed it for windows 7, then recently went back to 8 again. I clean install everything, and re-installed drives clean. I never changed the ram or hdd. I changed everything else.

Here is something similar to what I bought when I first got my computer: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B16Y9IG/?tag=tec06d-20

@Marveless before you go any further with this thread, please stop double posting all the time, either use the Edit function or you will see a "multiquote" tab to the right of posts, that way you can quote a number of posts you wish to respond to in one post of your own...... I like to keep the place tidy!

My bad. Just didn't want to write too long of a message.

You can also quote within an edit. For example you could hit edit on post #23 and then quote Tatty and answer him too. The editor is pretty cool here. Go and try it to see how it works and then delete post #24.

I am trying to do that. I clicked edit and more options. I wont multipost no more. This is actually my first time on a forum cuz this time I truly needed assistance with the problem I am facing.
