I Want a Q9550 E0 Stepping or Q9650 on sale!

See in the UK they would not accept a return for that reason period, if the chip works then it's not an RMA, RMA is for faulty goods, unless of course they guarantee the stepping? We have a period mwhere we can legally change our minds and therefore return it for a full refund, but if that is the case, the box must be un-opened and the item unused......not good!

you don't need to open the box to see its a C1 or E0 :D :D

Remember it's the Q9550 S Spec "SLB8V" that is the EO not the "SLAWQ"

Link to Q9550 E0
This One

NOT the Q9550 "SLAWQ" = C1

Its worth it though because it saves you the hassels of running aroujnd looking for that stepping. And after gas and time spent searching the stock at microcenter or where ever its just worth it in my book

I agree it's worth the extra 20.00 including shipping over newegg.

price not really jacked.. the big guys buy them in 1000 quantity so it's cheaper for them. Tankguys probably get them from some distributors where the prices are 330 a piece when buying only a case or 2.

I got mine from Newegg for about $310+ tax after Live 3% cash back+ Free S&H.

Plus I got Assasins Creed as a freebie.

It was a gamble though.

Newegg really needs to allow their customers to order the CPU that they want. If I would have gotten a C1 stepper I would have sent it back.

The Q9650 is a great CPU but IMO the Q9550 with E0 stepping should be very close to its performance. (Another gamble) :D

ya.... i'd rather use my $100-250 on something else. q9550 e0 should do the same as a q9650 with a little more work.
