When is the last time you blew the CPU cooler or case out with some air?

Have you tried reapplying new Thermal Inerface Material?

See coolers dont go bad, the fan might, but dust and dirt is usually what cause an overheating issue.

I assume you used the stock cooler.

Can you explain a few things please?

Where is the case? on the desk, in the desk, on the floor?

Are you sure the cooler is seated correctly?

What sort of temperatures are you seeing when the shut down happens?

I say start with the basiscs then....

Are you sure the CPU fan is spinning? IF so, I would suggest powering down the rig, and grabbing the CPU cooler and see if it jiggle or moves at all. I mean unless its like 80 degrees in your house I cant see a stock speed computer having overheating issues, especially a new one!

Maybe a bios temp cut off setting ? Go into your bios and see if maybe you have a preset limit that is set to low and shuting it down.
