Well, if space is an issue, the H70 is pretty good. But the only problem with good air coolers is that the high-end ones are pretty HUGE. Thermalright's Silver Arrow, Noctua's nh-d14, Prolimatech's Megahalems are some of the best air you can get. But, they are kinda expensive, HUGE, and can be a bit noisier than water.

I noticed that too. The higher end, the larger. Megahalems are good I saw one pc from my classmate. Good cooler, too.

You could slap some Gentle Typhoons on a Megahalem and it would be fairly quiet.

My MegaShadow has a Yate Loon H12 and its not that loud at all. I just got done reading a couple reviews on the H70 and I was pretty surprised that the Megahalem/Shadow held up very well against it. You can find used Megas and pick up the GT fans for a lot less than you would pay for a retail H70.

Megashadow, or Megahalem? I WOULD put 2 GTs on both side of it, if it would be alot cheaper than the h70. But it would take much space in my pc tho. lol

When you look at the super thick rad the H70 comes with and the push pull fan setup, size turns out to be a wash between the two (at least from the pics I have seen). The only size that is of concern is the height of the Mega which can conflict with any side fans right above it on the case panel. In my Azza 900 and my current Sharkoon, I had to remove or modify the side fans for clearance.

I think the height of the mega doesn'thave a conflict with my casing. The side fan is at graphics card level so i think it wouldn't hit the mega. Althought I'm not sure of this yet, I would do some research. Can you buy Megas from a store or should I buy it online? (same with h70, do i have to buy it online)

is the h50 also a push and pull system? I think I wouldn't like 2 fans in the radiator, could I do that w/ h70?

You can run the Megas, H50s, or H70s in a single fan config you just have to deal with higher temps. The H50 stock is only a single fan, I believe the Mega RevB comes with only one set of fan clips, and the Megashadow comes with 2 sets of fan clips.

I would look to buy a Mega used. I sold mine for about $50 shipped. They pop up in the forum from time to time, along with H50s. H70s might be available at Frys, Best Buy, and MicroCenter- call and see for sure.

Does it ship worldwide? (h70's) for the Megas, I would search some used ones.

on topic: Try Gilmore. The stores there are better stocked than others. Some stores do special order, and sometimes the better coolers are in stock. Last time I was there, the H50 was kinda plentiful.

Nice! I've been to Gilmore, yes that place was like "The center" of sellers, but I have never seen any coolers as I entered (maybe it was a few months ago like June) I'll check it out sometime and see if there's a Corsair H70.

I have just a humble Artic-Cooling HSF (the Pro 2.0) for less than 30 €, and its heatwave here now, but I can oc to 4100 without reaching 50ºC at idle and only rarely over 80 at full load.

Buy something tomorrow before you burn your box!! haha!
