    Real specific:

A magic NIC that creates a direct connection to whatever site, server, service, etc thus treating everything on the Internet as though it was on my computer's local storage as far as speed is concerned, in a USB like dongle with a magic connector that will fit into any connector (PCIe, PCI, USB, Firewire, SATA, iPhone connector thingy, Crystal links in 100 years, etc.). Complete with magic network stack that can negotiate any type of connect to a computer system with up to 4096 simultaneous links and a 256 GB buffer.

That would be awesome. 0 ping on every game server on the planet, download GB's of data as fast as a SSD can copy a file, since the link is direct I will never need an ISP, and portable so I can do this with any computer I am using.

Definitely the graphics card. It's always the most expensive single component in my system.

A Graphics Card that plugs into you and puts you in the game and is so powerful its Physics calculations and rendering can mimic that of real life with the added ability of adding its own post processing effects to further enhance the experience.

Dude thats not magical enough. I mean what if you wanted to run Crysis 10 on 3D? A GPU that runs every game evar until the end of time at 100FPS will be a much better thing

Shit was going to edit last post and again forgot and pressed the reply button

Thats awesome, but a unlimited ssd would be required to fully utilize this. Hello downloading everything

And also, new rule, you cant sell it or the technology, cause i bet a unlimited storage device could be sold for uhm hundreds of billions :rockout:

Lets be honest nerds for a minute.

Its not magic but we all want a computer core from Star Trek and a Holosuite (DS9 upgraded, more realistic Holodeck) just right now. Am I right?

After you admit that to yourself, continue with post stuff because this is interesting insight into everyone's mindset.

there have always been monitor and computer in one systems. At least mac's been doing for a long time now. Remember those old CRT's with a separate solid color(blue was popular)? i saw 2 of em in my science class this past yr at my high school.

However if i were to have 1 magical component it would be a processor with the graphics power of say 10x HD 5970 and cpu power of the Jaguar and with enough cache that no ram would be required, direct connection to SSD

well..i would like to have a computer core from startrek but it may need Borg nano technology to fully utilize it, the nano technology can be use to self repair our body when we got sick and also enhance our mind analytical speed process..
