hmm, IE7 works great for me nice and fast, I have no glitches or anything. But I'm using the Vista IE7 so that could make a difference.

I'm not so sure it's a giant bloated program compared to 6.0

Why don´t you just all use Firefox?

Great plugins available! "NoScript" & "Adblock Plus", just to mention two of them.
Right click on annoying adpics, they´ll never appear again. Even full frames, if you like.

I gave IE7 about five minutes for use, then killed it. :)

Use Opera then. I tried it as soon as I heard that Opera 8 went freeware, and haven't looked back since (I've used IE4-6, Netscape various versions, Mozilla browser 1.6-1.8, Firefox 1.0-2.0 and from all of those, I gotta say Opera is my fave)
Really though, anyone using IE6 is exposing themselves to so much, that you should be taking the risk of noticeable performance cuts, and should be using IE7 or Firefox or Opera, etc.

Opera is unreal wish I had known about it, it's great. Nice interface love speed dial and thw wigets for weather and clock. Thanks any thing you can tell me about it that you like. Man this thing is fast fast wow!!! I love the tile function very cool thx angain. Every once in a while you think wow!!! what a great product. I would rank this up there with my Old Opteron 170 that did 3.179ghz or my 6000+ which runs at 3.4ghz plus.
