Decided to stay with a full Dragon system for a while, bought a Sapphire 4870 1gb DDR5 card and was wondering is there a soft voltage mod flash for it or is there a voltage tool. I'm very happy with this card, it's a bunch smaller than the 260gtx, 280 gtx or 285gtx card I had. However, it gives me a mix of the three cards performances. Very good bang for the buck since I payed 189.00 for it. Also the cooler on the card is really good. Seems the 4000 series are slightly slower in sm2.0 but much faster in sm3.0

RBE will alow you to edit the bios voltages but only if they are not at maximum voltages now. Im unsure if you can pencil the HD4870's or not, but I bet there is a pot mod somewhere out there for them.

not at all sorry. I say put a pot on it as its easier to test on the fly if you hanve the minerals to go at it that way. That way you can see temps and voltages while you make the changes and see if they are safe. If not you can easily pull the plug and turn the screw back a bit.
