The best values are usually Western Digital Blues or Seagate Barracudas

Newegg has the WD Black 3TB on promo code for $180 right now. I know that's a bit above your budget, but it's a fantastic drive.

What are you doing with the drives?

I have some Hitachi first gen 3Tb drives that have been flawless for a couple years now.
