I prefer threads to be destroyed rather than locked.
Filling them with gay porn is a great way to redirect community interest to regular threads.

I once created a poll in General Nonsense that was a poll about liking polls. Zek locked it immediately because it was useless. Recently d44ve created this thread which was a poll asking if people were going to vote in said poll. It has yet to be locked, and I even PMed Zek about it with no response.
