I just can't understand why someone will replace their good X1900XT with a piece of crap call 7600GS from nVidia....

Yea man, definately keep your card, you will go wrong by selling it. If I was you, just save up for the dX 10 cards, and have fun with the one you have now.

i have to agree with slip ther....i would keep that card.....dx10 isn't even out yet....and no one knows when it will become mainstream like dx9.....i doubt a 7600gs will keep you happy after that 1900xt....if you buy a 7600gs and wait for dx10 to be mainstream, you will be unhappy for at least a year......plus, by that time the 8800 line and the R600 line will end up being replaced with better product...and dx10 bugs will be worked out a bit...

remember my carded has a silent none factory cooler and its only about 3 months old , and the reports seem to say that the 7600gs handles almost every game fine. Remember I play in 1440x900 resolution which that card can handle when overclocked plus if I wait a year it will be worth half as mutch or less.

The problem being at your price it would make more sense for someone to get it new with a store bought warranty. Plus as others pointed it out yours is a great card. I would see what others are getting on ebay for that particular card, this would give you a better idea if its worth selling it. Even with the added cooler it still might not get much on the market. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814142085 not exactly your card but 199 after rebate, you see what i mean.

Mine has a warranty and the factory heatsink is included with a new superior cooler on it. I realize once its removed technically the warranty is void however knowone would know it if it was put back on. To buy the card I have with the new heatsink it would cost around 240.00 and my card is in mint condition the cords and manuel are still in plastic in the box.

they are getting around 265.00 for it because its hard to find it Ive seen a 3d connect version on newegg for 214.00 with a rebate 199.00 with the factory heatsink on it, but other than that this card is like a 7900gto a rare animal here in the USA. My heatsink has 6 heatpipes and is silent . Also I don't see what you mean that card with shipping will be about 220.00 and after a rebate 205.00 Plus around 30.00 for an arctic cooler heatsink. Mines worth 240.00 and comes with free shipping. That saves you about 50.00 before a rebate if you want to get ride of the jet engine stock heatsink.

The X2 Acelero are great coolers, I was not trying to discourage you, just saying buyers can be fickle. I hope you can find a buyer.

7600GS Sucks ftw... its performance is appaling. I just don't understand why you would sell it anyway. A X1900XT kills a 7600GS any day.

7600GS Sucks - Get that in your head. X1900XT is MUCH BETTER. Whats the point about selling your card and buying another one which is worse-for the same price?
Illogical dude.... 7600GS doesn't support HDR+AA and is as slow as a turtle.

After looking at ebay you might just get what you want, i would try there as most people visiting tech forums can search out better deals.

okay read my entire post before you say something stupid tkpenalty I never said a 7600gs was better than a x1900xt. I simply said I don't need it im a moderate gamer and a 7600gs or gt would work fine for me why have a Porche when you need a Honda Accord lol!!! Also a 7600gs can be bought for around 89.00 here so its not near the same price as a x1900xt

If you can get a 7600GS for $89, I will gladly paypal you $100 in a moments notice for your X1900XT. Arent used parts of any sorts, car parts, pc parts, any, etc. worth half of new prices? A new X1900XT can be bought for $199, so half of that would be $100, right. If you want to sell it for $100, drop me a line.

wow one goof after another what happened to this forum but I see your point you have a 7900gs and thats a super performer as we all know. I can see why you might want my card. How about a deal my x1900xt for your 7900gs plus 65.00 and you pay the shipping sound good. Ah but why would I Do that because according to your logic your card should be only worth 70.00 total at half price. I have a better Idea you give me 150.00 plus your card and we trade sound fair because according to your logic I can get a 7900gs for 144.00 dollars after a rebate so yours is worth like 70 dollars lets do it. Who needs a 7600gs when I can get a 7900gs for 70.00 dollars. Lets face it, its used

Wanting to get as much money back from your card is understandable, but $210 is to much imo. The same card can be bought for (as you posted in anoter thread) for $199 after rebate, and another $20 for the Accelero. The $210 then sounds high.

A 7600GS? I wouldn't think that would keep you happy after running a X1900XT. I have a X850XT with an Arctic Cooler ATi5 on it and also a X800GTO Fireblade with ATi5 cooler. You wan't to try to hash out a deal for one of them? I do believe they both out perform a 7600GS.

this is illogical, your gonna sell your card for a 7600gs ok ok you dont need all that power anyway and youll upgrade to dx10 later this year maybe, but the money your gonna get from your x1900xt half will be spent on that crappy 7600gs and the rest will be spent before you get a dx10 card i presume ? if your x1900xt wont be worth as much when dx10 hits what about a 7600gs ?

anyway not everyone will be making the move to dx10 in the first year anyway as not a lot of games will support it straight away (not to say windows xp wont aswell and i know a lot of people wont be upgrading os on top of grafx, the average user that is) i think youll find in 6 months time youll still get more for your x1900xt than you will buy that 7600gs for new now fact.

T_T.... 7900GS Sucks more than X1900XT. Someones on drugs. It can't do HDR+AA... Unless you are probably selling a dead card and just moving after you sell it. 7600GS wont be good for moderate gaming. Its a fucking low end, and some people are trying to help you hello?

When DX10 comes out the value of the 7600GS will be like nearly worth nothing due to the fact that it CANNOT PERFORM PHYSICS, GET THAT IN YOUR HEAD, it will also be lacking the newer shader models, etc, and most of all it is a very weak card. X1900XT can be used as a cheap but ultra-powerful (when compared to aegia) physics card, even though the graphics capability won't be up to snuff.

I've used a 7600GS before at my cousin's place, and it was absolutely appaling. You can save $$$ by not "downgrading because I don't need that much power", as you will have to use physics cards sooner or later, whether you like it or not games will require to use them as the CPU aren't good at this and the X1900XT can be used as one.
