Installing Windows 10 problem

Hey,

The windows sign is on the screen and the dvd player is just showing a quickly flashing green light and that's it. It's been like this for about 10 mins.

Any thoughts?

Are you installing from the DVD still? I would think that it would stop. What happens if you open the tray?

Yes from the DVD. When I open the tray I get an error message.

Are you able to sign in? Otherwise, let it sit for a while. Maybe the disk is dirty or your DVD drive is having issues reading the disk for some reason.

No I can't sign in. The disc is brand new (just bought it). The dvd drive reads my win7 disc without issue.

If you have a UEFI board, make sure Secure Boot is disabled or try changing it to Legacy Boot.
