I hit that along time ago with a socket 478 3.2gHz presscot CPU. With a Zalman cooler (Air) it's finnal clock speed was 4.6gHz i will try and find a shot of cpuZ lying around the arcives.

That would belong to AMD 4GHz club, not to Intel 4GHz club :p

I'll modify this post to include the screenshots if i find them.

    =Mobo: P5WD2 Premium *(i955x chipset)
    =P4: 640 (3.2ghz) Prescott core - C0 - 3 stepping/revision
    =Ram: 4x 512mb 533mhz kingston value
=Cooling: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
=Mods: Lapped the base of the cooler and the IHS on the cpu

A screenshot of AIBooster isn't very useful a lot of the time since it will always take the reading at the default cpu multiplier, so it will read high if you're using a lower than default multiplier. CPU-Z validations are probably the best proof. Screenshots can be tampered with.

    Thanks regan! :)

I don't know if another AMD could match it in clock speed, but a single core AMD opteron could likely match the performance of my 4.9ghz P4 at roughly 3.2ghz.

I'm getting some WC parts soon, i'm aiming for 5.1ghz or more :D

Im stable at 4.0Ghz. Though the other day my powersupply finally blew since it was only 17amps.... doh... anyways ways....

    =Mobo: ABIT AA8XE 3rd-Eye
    =P4 Core #: LGA775 Prescott 530 3.0Ghz @ 4.0Ghz
    =Ram: 512x2 Infinion DDR2 400 / 512x2 Samsung DDR2 400=2gb's
=Cooling: CPU-Thermaltake Jungle 512(Runs a little to warm for my taste, upgrading to a better cooler soon) Zalman VS-V7 Fatal1ty VGA
    =Mods: Sapphire X800 GTO Fireblade 256mb 626/1274

I can't find a picture right now, but i can post a link of my 3dmark05 score w/ my cpu specs
(My cpu score went from 5888 down to 4900 all because of a powersupply slowly dying.)

    clocked m8,
your board is nearly the same as mine,go into the bios in advanced, advanced chipset settings.you need to try lowering the dram ras# activate to precharge delay lower.try it on 14 or 15.(yours is 18)
try the dram ras precharge on 4 or 5(yours is 6)
try the dram ras to cas delay on 4 or 5(yours is 6)
i dont know if they will run on faster settings, but its worth a try.
