This is why AMD really needs to succeed with Bulldozer's launch or it will be all Intel and it's monopolizing high prices and no innovation futures.

Super XP, Damn_Smooth and digibucc say thanks.

If you can't beat superior offerings from competition, block them. LMAO. AMD Fusion is the future. I have the E-450 and it eats anything Intel for breakfast.

Well if that plan works out (since it seems its no secret) it might work good for AMD since last time that happened, they got a golden parachute payment from Intel!

    Not cool.

Everybody is just beyond greedy. 10-11 years ago everything was fine.

I just do not want to see everything getting service'd, singled out, and have no compatibility except for a price tag.

Or buy them and shut them down like Microsoft did. Intel is taking a page from Bill's book on how to run a monopoly like a boss.

Intel is not allowed to buy AMD if that is what you mean. For competition sake, they will never allow it.

Oh dear this is quite low considering they already have a massive market share.

AMD has about 30% of the market, and Intel the remaining. If you think 30% of billions of dollars makes no difference...

so intel will introduce a new magic chip, that will lock out everybody except for people who buy a new intel product.

so if digitalnow or anyone else adopts this, they will lock out themselves from their market. congrats. dont waste your time with stories that make no sense

Don't really see this happening because this would also lock out older $ntel chips...

This could be why Asus is going with the zenbook moniker instead of ultrabook.

    This.. game set and match

Makes 0 sense outside of AMD fanboys trying to stur something up.. Why would a company lose customers when streaming videos is definitely a very congested market to begin with.
    stinger608 says thanks.

:laugh:Kind of what I was thinking. Who figures what is said in that article is credible?

Here again I am questioning the credibility of that article and site.

Hell anyone can write an article about anything and put a similar statement like I quoted without having a bit of truth to it.

    Example

    :roll::roll::roll:

Really though, all kidding aside, who can confirm that such an article is truthful or credible?

What the hell is CinemaNow and why does anyone care? The entire portion of the article relating to that doesn't make any sense. As for Intel only allowing companies using their chips to use it, as long as they own the Trademark I see no problem.
