So how bad is it? Will I get lag in W7 while doing general office stuff and surfing the web? I will be doing almost no gaming (except for some light flash games once in a blue moon) and I want to know that it won't stutter and/or react slow when I want to open word documents, pdfs, firefox. Any thoughts?... and yes I have read up on the specs for it.

It is faster than my single core Atom, and the Atom runs W7 and does office stuff just fine. Yeah, it isn't as fast as my i7, but it isn't painfully slow either.

A lot of the speed will be determined by how much RAM you have as well. I see the U3400 paired with 1GB of RAM way too often, and really 2GB+ of RAM really helps.

yep, if you wanna run w7 on it just make sure you have enough ram and turn off anything that aint important so your os would run little bit faster
