INTEL HD 4600

My computer has a Intel HD 4600 which is a integrated video card. I am not really sure how good of a chip it is but so far It handels my games better then ATI Raedon HD3200 another integrated chip which was in my old pc.

I have used the 4600 in laptops, it is OK, but nothing spectacular. For less than $100 you can find about 4-5X the power in used with a lot of extra features.

Ok you don't have to circle me. I was just trying to find out what peoples opinions on the chip was and how good it is because I don't know all that much about graphics in the first place.

The somewhat recent Intel integrated GPUs have made some nice improvements from previous generations. The recent ones, the HD 4600 included, will manage to do relatively well even when compared against older AMD/ATI cards.
I'm not at all surprised the recent Intels do well. Like others have mentioned, the old ATI 3200 isn't much of a speed demon (even in the old days).

That said, its still incredibly slow by todays standards.

The HD3200 is absolute garbage nowadays. It wasn't without its own hiccups back in its days, too. I was all too disappointed with its lackluster performance. I would settle for the HD4600 anyday and I actually did just recently when I upgraded.

the Intel HD4600 in today's standards is faster than the AMD HD3200 in its day's standards, and requires far less power/cooling.

Intel's IGP has improved a lot (in terms of relative performance) and making a lot of Nvidia/AMD's entry level cards obsolete.

I have a HD4400 (Same Chip lower clocks) in my laptop I3-4010U 1.7 and at 1280x720 all details low, GTA V is playable with ~30FPS..

SO NO, not a PRO gamer FPS GFX but absolute a Grate card for the money. (kind of free)

Calculation performance is like Radeon R5 240 and GeForce GT 640

Also I was using my 4600 in my i5 to play skyforge at 1920*1080 @ fastest setting, it did not look nice but the frame rates were ok.

IGPU in general have been substantially improved. In older days, I used to throw in a cheapo GPU in HTPC or NAS-media-storage PC.

I no longer do that anymore and rely on IGPU completely. My current NAS-media-storage PC has i3 4130 with intelHD 4400. It has been fairly exceptionally and never lagged. Compared to GMA days, we've come a long way.

i, for one, am happy with my HD graphics 5500 integrated in my laptop's i5-5200U (tho i would not activate the HD Graphics 4600 on my desktop xD )

tho "self sufficient" intel IGP are the Iris Graphic 6000 and above ... it pains me to admit it, but they do better than Kaveri/godavari IGP's (but the chip that integrate them are outrageously high priced ... which is kinda a deal breaker )

Compared to GMA days, we've come a long way.

so much ... HD3200 is pretty weak nowdays,

how much money do you have for upgrading the card?

your current specs are pretty solid for a new video card, nvidia or amd, the unique thing that may not be enough there is the Power supply,

Yup, Intel's piss-poor integrated solutions have come a long way. Ivy Bridge brought decent performance. Haswell improved upon it. Broadwell saw Intel bring out its best. Skylake sadly drops us back down to Haswell levels of performance (in reality, the HD 530 is around 30% faster than the HD 4600, but you get my point).

Saying that, if I was given the choice between Radeon HD and Intel HD, I would go with the Radeon. Intel drivers completely suck.
